Wow a Quinceanera Portrait

This a Jessica and she recently had her Quinceanera party which is the birthday party a 15 girl has as sort of a coming out. This is part of the latin culture.

I was fortunate to get to do the portrait of such a beautiful young lady. We had a great time and the results speak for themselves.

I am looking for some high school seniors to shoot. So if anyone knows some seniors that haven't had their pictures taken or don't like the ones they got at school please just send them my way. I'm sure we can capture who they are and create dramatic pictures that they will love.

A Norman Rockwell Santa.....

We had Santa in the studio this week. It was so wonderful to watch these kids talking to Old St. Nick live and in person. I captured these twin boys boys while they were pepering santa with a hundred questions. It was the cutest thing ever. I've been developing a Rockwell look and I think I've pretty much got it. What do you think?

I'm Back!

We were in Conneticut last week to visit the kids. What a blast! We didn't do all that much but it was wonderful just getting together and enjoying each others company.

Now we are back in the studio shooting Santa Claus pictures for the next 3 days. So please come and see us. Santa will be here on the 12th 13th and 14th from 3 to 7.

We had Santa in the studio last week and boy did we have some photographic fun. It's not hard to have a good time with the king of jolly in the studio. We tried out some ver cool looks I've been working on as part of my Norman Rockwell project. I just couldn't resist the possibility of creating the 1940s retro look of the Santa Coke ads back then. Amazing: they dressed up for cell phone pics

This is a true story, no kidding. Susan and I were sitting on the beach out at Hunting Island State Park when this family trooped onto the beach dressed perfectly for beach portraits. They were all dressed the same (in khaki shorts and white shirts), so we naturally assumed that a photographer would show up any minute. We waited and waited and nobody showed up. Well, at this point Susan couldn't stand the suspense anymore, so she went on over to these folks and asked them about it. It turns out that no, they weren't expecting a photographer and yes, they were dressed for portraits. However Mom was going to do them with her cell phone camera. I had all my professional gear with me, so Susan volunteered me to take some portraits for them, after explaining that we owned a professional photography studio. It was a wonderful experience for everyone involved. We met the Marleys from Greenville and we had the opportunity to give them photographs that will be cherished for years.
